Strawberry Shortcake Party

For my daughters 2nd birthday party we threw her a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party. She is in a Strawberry Shortcake phase and just loves everything having to do with it. So of course we had to throw the most fantastic Strawberry Shortcake birthday party for her.

This buffet table was very budget friendly and I will tell you why.  I put a hot pink plastic table cloth ($2) over a white linen cloth that I already had found in my linen drawer. I used ribbon that I already had to tie up the bows. For the birthday banner I strung it up the flag banner from my shop with more ribbon I had (I have a pretty ribbon obsession!). These polka dot balloons I found at Party City and thought they were perfect ($10). All the platters and drink containers I, of course, own already. The drink container on the right and the veggie platter I borrowed. The cups, plates, napkins, straws and cutlery items all came out to $10 from Target.  The fresh roses were a gift from Grandpa to Makena so I proudly displayed them here on the buffet table.

Here is out Welcome sign to welcome our guests into our party.  They knew right away what they were in for. LOL! Lots of pink girly strawberry stuff.

Here was Makena's Strawberry Shortcake invitation. The invitation I sell in my Etsy shop you can choose to add a picture of your child or an enlarged Strawberry Shortcake image. Both are very cute! Here are some of her strawberry cupcakes that Makena requested to be at her party. The cupcake toppers and wrappers made them look even better than they actually tasted lol! The tented card labels made for a very cohesive look.

Here is a picture of Makena's custom Strawberry Shortcake birthday hat. I used more ribbon that I already had to tie under her chin. More images of the tented cards. These straw tags were so much fun. I really enjoyed watching the older men drinking from these. They were all such sports about it.  The kids of course loved them.

Here are the favors that we passed out.  You can find them under strawberry favor boxes in my Etsy shop. They are sort of like mini pinata's because I stuffed them with candy and fruit snacks for the younger kids. I really didn't want to pass out candy to the kids but I felt that I might have got kicked in the knee by some of them when I told them I didn't have candy to give them. So I buckled out of fear and stuffed a few with candy. LOL! These were my favorite! I love how they turned out and so did the guests.

Guess what else we happened to find.  We had no idea a Strawberry Shortcake jumper even existed. We came across it and of course had to scoop it up for Makena's Strawberry Shortcake party.
