Eco friendly Party Serving Items (plates, napkins. forks and spoons, etc...)
I know what your thinking. "I am not going to set out my nice plates only to have half of them returned broken or chipped or maybe even lost." or maybe your thinking "that is way too many dishes to wash." Well here is the good news! If you buy BPA free plastic than they are reusable and you don't have to worry about these plastic plates breaking. Set up a "dump and stack" station where they dump out the food they didn't eat into the trash can and stack on the counter near by or maybe it is table or bucket that they stack the dirty plates in. Then all you have to do is load the dishwasher. One big easy load and therefore no dishes to wash by hand. Sound easy enough?
You can find plastic dishes all over the place like the dollar store, wal- mart and my favorite, Target. Target actually has some really nice reusable plastic dishes, cups and cutlery items.
Another thing you can do is recycle old cans and flower pots to hold your cutlery items.
You can also use glass mason jars or glass milk bottles for older guests to serve their drinks in. Tag them and have them write their names so they won't mix up their cups with others.
